Newsletter and use of the MailChimp automation platform:

Our website in the past offered you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter, which provides you periodically with information about our project. We use the third-party service MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. To receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address. Verification of the specified e-mail address is necessary and the receipt of the newsletter is to be agreed. When you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address and IP address as well as the date and time you subscribed are sent to and stored by MailChimp. This serves to protect us in the event a third party improperly and without your knowledge makes use of your email address to subscribe to our newsletter. By submitting the newsletter subscription form, you acknowledge that the information you provide is transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. The data thereby collected is used solely for the purpose of dispatching our newsletter. None of this data is matched to any data that other components of our website may collect.

The data provided in the newsletter registration is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time, by using links in the signup confirmation email and each newsletter. The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the cancellation. Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted in the event of cancellation. If these data have been sent to us for other purposes and elsewhere, they will remain with us.
